Ask your child to help you divide real items at home—cookies into lunch boxes, LEGO bricks into equal piles, or coins into piggy banks. Say the problem aloud together: 'We have 15 crackers and 3 people. How many crackers does each person get?' Let them physically split the items and count, then write the division sentence (15 ÷ 3 = 5).
