Ask your child to help you plan a spring garden or window box by calculating how many seeds or bulbs you'll need. Say, 'If we plant 3 rows of flowers with 5 bulbs in each row, how many bulbs do we need?' Let them skip-count, draw arrays, or use objects to solve it. This real-world context makes multiplication concrete and memorable—far more powerful than drill pages alone. Repeat this with different scenarios (4 pots with 2 seeds each, 5 flower bunches with 3 flowers per bunch) to reinforce the same facts across multiple contexts.
