About This Activity

Maya dazzled the crowd pulling giant glowing numbers from her hat.

Teacher Tip

Give each student a large cardboard 'magic hat' divided into place-value pockets (thousands, hundreds, tens, ones); have them pull out digit cards and swap them between pockets while narrating the regrouping or expanded form aloud — just like a magician revealing a trick.
